RealPay - Gross Pay Calculator

 

Overview of RealPay:
 

 

  • Calculates gross pay for time-based and piece-rate workers
  • Keeps records of gross pay, holidays, absence, sickness
  • Tracks outwork
  • Calculates bonuses and allowances
     

Calendar:

Completely tailorable Calendar to suit your company - days can be designated as ordinary working day, bank-holiday, factory holiday etc.

PAYE Week no. & Month no. are automatically calculated

Working patterns:

Each member of staff is assigned to a Day Group for which you can set up a working timetable (start, breaks & end for each working day)

Work Type:

Every kind of activity has a defined work type record with a unit of measure (e.g. hours, units made, etc.) and a standard rate for the work. Each member of staff can have their own special rate for each work type they undertake.

Allowances & bonuses:

Allowances / bonuses can be set up and calculated in various ways (e.g. preset values - for keyholder, or as a percentage of earnings)

Pay rates for each type of work and allowances can be specified for each member of staff (with start and end dates for each rate)

Time Cards:

The Time Card facility is used for:

  • Entering actual times worked (for hourly paid staff)
  • Entering holidays, sickness and other absence for all staff except for out-workers
  • Entering overtime for monthly, weekly paid staff. Checks are made on entry that total hours are not exceptional. Optionally, it is possible to enter start times only, with finish times and breaks defaulting to those specified for the work-type and calendar day.

Holidays:

Where wages are paid in cash or by cheque there is a facility to enter the week for wages to be paid (normally this would be the week following entry of the time card). This means that wage packets are not made up until the member of staff returns from holiday.

Piecework:

RealPay allows piecework to be paid for workers in the factory and outworkers. Each type of work must be defined with rate of pay for a specified quantity of units.

Work is booked out to a specific worker with an expected due date. Booking can be done at a work type level - booking out batches to different workers, or for a particular worker.

Each batch will be assigned a unique reference - with the option of an additional docket no. for external outwork. RealPay keeps track of outstanding work and completed work for each worker and for each work type.

When work is booked in as completed it becomes eligible for payment when gross pay is calculated.

Gross Pay Report:

A printed report shows staff name & number, hours worked, overtime, holiday, sick pay, allowances and bonuses.

Individual staff records are available on-line or can be printed. Optionally a file can be generated to pass Gross Pay amounts to a payroll package.
